February 2025, saw UK fuel prices rise to a six-month high, increasing by 0.65p to 139.65p per ltr and diesel rising by 0.73p to 146.48p per ltr.

April 1st, will see UK households expecting a 6.4% hike in energy bills, increasing to £1,849 for typical households paying by direct debit, due to an increase in the energy price cap.

Rising market prices of gas fuel is like never before. In the last twelve months prices have increased four fold.

Household have largely been protected so far by the government’s price cap set last year.

Gas prices have however continued to increase rapidly and so, the cap will also increase by 40% in February.

Household prices are currently capped at £1,277 per annum. Tony Blair's Institute for Global Change, has estimated that this could increase over £500 to approx £1,800
